Frequently Asked Questions
Is a deposit required to book a date?
Yes, we require a deposit of 25% of the total hire cost to secure the venue and date you require.
How many guests can attend?
We would recommend no more than 180 guests on site.
How many days can we hire the venue for?
As this is a ‘dry hire’ venue which requires full set up by your marquee/tipi company and all the other suppliers we offer the site to you for 5 days to allow for everyone to get it ready and to take it down after your big day.
What time can we hold our wedding day from and what time does it all have to finish?
You are welcome to start your big day at any time from 11am.
Please note: as this is a village location the premises licence stipulates that the bar shuts at 11pm and music (live and amplified) finishes at 11.30pm with carriages by midnight for those not staying on site. We find that this works well for most guests as it’s a long day and you can make the most of the day light hours!
What is required for clearing the site?
We would recommend that you hire from us or from one of your supplies large wheelie bins for waste and make sure you have arranged with family/friends or suppliers to help with the clean-up and removal of waste from the site. You will need to arrange all the timings for suppliers arriving to set up and arriving to collect after your big day.
Please note that there would be a £500 damage deposit waiver required which is refundable within one calendar month of the wedding.
Are there toilets on site?
Currently you would need to hire in portable toilets as part of your planning. Please see our partners page for more information.
Is there power and water on site?
Yes, we have mains power on site 2 x 32 Amp and 2 x 16 Amp in the main box and then various 16 Amp points around the field. You will need to make sure that the marquee company are able to connect all suppliers up to the power they need.
We have an outdoor tap in the field for cleaning but would suggest bottled water for drinking.
Can we get married at Berryfields?
You can hold an outdoor wedding celebration/ humanist ceremony however as we are an outdoor wedding venue we are not licenced for civil ceremonies. Most couples get married the morning of the day at a local church or registry office or even a few days before.
